It’s important for any business in possession of evacuation equipment to understand the legislation that surrounds it, and be able to meet the relevant operational requirements. Our Train the Trainers course is for companies who want to be able to offer their own in-house training to new and existing staff
Through a process known as Cascade Training, our instructors offer an informed, practical and consultative approach to sharing their knowledge of industry legislation, how it translates to their organisation and building needs, and the safest way to operate and train staff on your equipment.

The Five Factors of Evacuation
As part of our training, we will ensure you have a complete and comprehensive understanding of the Five Factors of Evacuation, as applies to your specific case.
Our highly trained and personable instructors will evaluate the conditions and requirements of your team and premises, ensuring all training is relevant and up to date for the individuals you have appointed as trainers.
Our training provides a standardised understanding of the Five Factors of Evacuation that is replicable for every single subsequent delegate session course attendees provide as a trainer.
We aim to create consistency and ensure the uniform delivery of the training, ensuring no corners are cut and all staff receive the finest training available for the use of their equipment.
This includes considerations such as:
- Why they use it
- Who it is for
- Where operators find equipment and passengers and where to evacuate people to, via safe routes and processes
- When it is applicable to use the equipment, and
- How to confidently and proficiently train others in the safe operation of the evacuation equipment.
Instill confidence in your evacuation equipment operators
Our Train the Trainer sessions blend practical experience and theory, including testing and coaching sessions that ensure the required Five Factors standard is delivered and understood by your appointed trainers.
These sessions have a run time of three to four hours for a maximum of six delegates, depending on the requirements of course participants, and can only be delivered by KFive trainers.
Our trainers will provide a workbook and training guide for each participant at the start of the session, to be completed during the session and retained for your own use when delivering your own training.
Once participants have completed and passed the Train the Trainer course, they’ll be able to carry out their own Five Factors of Evacuation training sessions, and deliver Operator Training sessions to other members of staff.
Achieve independence for your team by bringing evacuation equipment operator training in-house, and remember: evacuation chair training is a legal requirement.
