How will K5 train you and your staff?
Basic Training
The training available for clients is Operator or Train the Trainer/Cascade Courses and is delivered on any Evacuation Chair Product, Wheelchair Lift or Stairclimber. The courses are very hands on with each delegate experiencing the practical use from passenger and operator scenarios, the delegates will also gain an understanding of the responsibilities required regarding using such products as part of your Evacuation Plan during the course. General legislation is covered in terms of our product range and how they operate in relation to your Fire Risk Assessment policy, giving all absolute peace of mind and the understanding of how they benefit the intended users.
All those trained will be totally confident in the use of these incredible products by the time they have completed the course and no delegate will be passed until the trainer is completely happy that they are capable of using any of the K5 product range. With the training and trainers that K5 offer it will ensure that no matter what size the operator, passenger or stairwells form the training delivered will ensure that all are confident and capable of operating Evacuation Chair, Wheelchair Lift or Stairclimber as and when required.
Upon completion of the course the delegate will:
- An understanding of the use of the relevant product in relation to their purpose.
- A competent and proficient ability in how to operate an Evac Chair, Wheelchair Lift or Stairclimber.
- An appreciation of how the intended user will feel and experience when using the relevant product.
Each of the successful delegates will receive a certificate proving that they have completed the course. For the client a record will be kept by K5 with a copy sent to you for your records, of any of the delegates who passed the course ensuring that your Health & Safety or Fire Evacuation Requirements are always met within your building.
As part of your Fire Risk Assessment you will know that it is imperative that your business continues ongoing training when using Safety Chair, Wheelchair Lift and Stairclimber products, as required by legislation. We pride ourselves at K5 in the knowledge that our clients are always trained to the highest standards to ensure that all Operator and Trainer requirements are more than met for the customer and users access and safety needs.
Train the Trainer/Cascade Trainers
Here K5 offers clients the ability to manage the Health & Safety or Fire Safety polices they operate for their buildings and people.
Train the trainer courses will afford members of your own team to become Cascade Trainers for their business allowing you to manage the requirements of trained operatives as the need arises from leavers or departmental moves through promotion or the like. Delegates attending these courses should be used to delivering key messages to personnel and be of a confident and controlled nature. Previous experience of Health & Safety at work is useful but not essential.
Here the delegates will embrace the legislation requirements and complete the Operator Course to a high standard. In addition they will deliver a training presentation back to the group with the same intensity as the K5 Trainer would have delivered when demonstrating to the group for the first time. Once the delegates have completed this training session they will be able to carry out their own training sessions and train other members of staff within the organisation on the safe and proficient use of Evacuation Chair, Wheelchair Lift or Stairclimber products in their workplace.
Upon completion delegates will be sent a Cascade Trainers Certificate in recognition of them passing the course.
