Service & Maintenance
“Legally you must make adequate provisions for the evacuation of staff with disabilities and mobility problems. This does not just mean providing the right equipment but it also means ensuring the equipment receives the correct maintenance so that it remains in good working order.”
How K5 will keep your equipment in perfect working order?
Having sourced your evacuation chair equipment and received the necessary training in order to successfully and safely operate them you will want to ensure they always remain ready for use. Whether used periodically or daily each product will need to be serviced regularly as is required by legislation when using evacuation chairs as part of your Evacuation Plan or Health & Safety Policy.
The K5 Service team have years of experience in servicing evacuation chairs and will be happy to assist you in ensuring your chairs are maintained and fit for purpose whenever the need to use them arises. We currently provide annual maintenance contracts to a wide variety of clients including schools, colleges, hospitals, care homes, public sector and commercial enterprises. With all of our staff CRB checked and manufacturer trained we offer total peace of mind when delivering this service.
With each product undergoing a full safety check and service our engineers complete a service schedule signed off by yourselves to ensure you are completely satisfied with our work. Our engineers also carry on them the most common parts should the chairs require any remedial work through general wear and tear; however these repairs are only carried out with your express commission.
As a Chas authorised Contractor we are also used to providing our clients with Method Statements and Risk Assessments where these are applicable. As with all our clients records are kept by K5 with regard to any service work carried out, this in turn supports any issues arising from the use of the chairs and enables us to ensure each of our clients have safe and fully operable chairs in use in their buildings. In addition each chair will carry a Service/Safety Check Mark detailing the date and Engineer who carried out the work.
The Service Team will automatically contact each service client 2-4 weeks prior to the due date of any products requiring their next service, this ensures they never have to worry about whether their evacuation chairs work correctly and that they have met any legal requirements when using these as part of their Evacuation Plan or Health & Safety Policy.
K5 Cover the whole of the UK and are fully insured Publicly and Professionally as you would expect of any professional organisation such as us. We endeavour to ensure the very best levels of service when maintaining, training or supplying our evacuation chairs and as such welcome any feedback from customers in order to continuously improve these Services.
